Not many knew Teoh Beng Hock, but mention his name today and you stir up righteous anger at all that is rotten in the country. Never has our character as a nation been so tested as at the present.

It's a clash between the evil forces of the day - represented by some politicians in Umno/BN, the police, the mainstream media, and now the MACC - and the good, represented by leaders in PR, the NGOs and the ordinary man in the street, whose only wish to see a better Malaysia.

For those of us who ignore this, do so at your own peril. Teoh's death is a reminder that tomorrow the victim could be you, your child, your grandchild, your relative or your friend.

Act of treachery

To those politicians and leaders who by their wealth and their numbers, support and prop up an all too obvious regime of a few evil men and women, remember that history will remind you that you too, share the responsibility in Teoh's death by your deafening silence.

If when the time comes for you to act with conscience, you choose the path of compliance and subservience to the agents of evil, then you have no more moral authority to stand on and claim that you are a representative of the people.

Your very act of propping up a fascist-like government is in itself an act of treachery and if you do not see it as such, then you are as much a part of this nefarious system as the worst of them.

The list of unsettled issues where none of you who make up the government has even though fit to bring up or to call for follow through action makes a point that perhaps you do not care a hoot if the nation goes to the dogs.

We must act now

Perhaps some of you fat cats may ask, why should we care?

If you have a conscience like some ex-BN leaders, Zaid Ibrahim and Chua Jui Meng as recent example, you will know in your hearts what you must do and how you must act.

You have the power to act, unlike an ordinary citizens like me, and you can influence the government at a direct level for the welfare of the people.

Or is this expecting too much from a peoples' representative? God save Malaysia.
