Today, the presences of a non-Muslim at a mosque has become a big issue under the Umno leadership.

Maybe the young Umno members do not remember history.

Way back in 1963/64, all employed Malaysians irrespective of whatever race and religion had to contribute one day’s wage for the Masjid Negara Building Fund.

I worked for Anglo-Oriental (a mining company) at that time in their office and the monies were deducted from the payroll of all employees by the management.

We were proud for having done this and when this mosque was ready, most Malaysians irrespective of race or religion visited and toured the structure. It was ‘1Malaysia’ then.

I hope some elderly person who knows about this will do a writeup and let the whole world know.

The way things are going Malaysia is doomed.
