I refer to the article: Sabah PKR: New line-up in the works .

A number of PKR's strong supporters who have quietly followed PKR Sabah's upheavals are unhappy with Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan's return to active politics under the PKR banner.

His reappointment as vice-president to look after Sabah and Sarawak affairs will only contribute to PKR's failure at winning any state or parliamentary seat in the next election.

Many feared that Jeffrey's about-turn was not sincere. There are opinions that failure to register their proposed party has forced Jeffrey's faction to come up with a new plan to stay relevant in Sabah politics.

The whisper on the street was that Jeffrey's factions attempt to join SAPP was not entertained. Most of SAPP's top leadership were against accepting leaders such as Jeffrey.

His track record as a troublemaker was cited as the main reason for their objections. SAPP did not want to risk the same political fate of the various political parties Jeffrey had joined previously.

As a face-saving measure, Jeffrey had only one option - to accept the post of vice-president and special head for Sabah and Sarawak.

With his return, many predict that within the next six months, a repetition of PKR's internal problems will occur, rendering the party unstable.

It will thus become weaker and unable to focus all energy and assets against the BN onslaught.

I hope my words will shed some light on what people on the ground really think of Jeffrey.
