I refer to the Malaysiakini report Malaysia IS Zimbabwe, says Zaid .

Is there is a Malaysiakini- type in Zimbabwe - a ‘Zimbabwekini’?

Does Zimbabwe allow all their bloggers to have their day, everyday writing whatever they like on a host of things which are often sensitive and mind-boggling and yet they get away with it?

Would there be a ‘Zimbabwe Today’ like our ‘Malaysia Today’ in Zimbabwe?

Is there a DAP-type party in Zimbabwe? Is there a Karpal Singh-type in Zimbabwe?

Would political analyst Abdul Aziz Bari and PKR leader Zaid Ibrahim be allowed to make similar statements on Zimbabwe comparable to those about how Malaysia is like Zimbabwe?

If Malaysia is similar to Zimbabwe, then Zimbabwe must be like Malaysia. Are there Aziz Bari and Zaid Ibrahim-types in Zimbabwe? Are there many in Zimbabwe who are like those in Malaysia? If there are, who are they?

Are there universities in Zimbabwe which have allowed one of their law lecturers to become like Aziz Bari to utter anything he likes? Would Zimbabwe have also created a person like Zaid Ibrahim?

Would Zimbabwe allow Pakatan Rakyat-type coalition to exist in the first place?

The truth is that there aren't any of those types in Zimbabwe. So by using a simple arithmetic calculation, the allegations made by some who compare Malaysia to Zimbabwe may all be too farfetched.

There is no comparison at all except for those who see more than the others could.

I don't suppose Aziz Bari and Zaid Ibrahim have been to Zimbabwe to be able to tell us which aspect of Zimbabwe is like Malaysia today and vice-versa. There is no sizeable Chinese community or a smaller group of Indians in Zimbabwe.

There are no Malays in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is not a Muslim country or a member of the OIC. It is a Catholic country. It's leader has been around for ages and is not about to allow anyone else to have his office.

The similarities between Malaysia and Zimbabwe are huge. So it is surprising that there are people in Malaysia who conveniently use Zimbabwe for anything.
