Dear Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng,

I have been following very closely your outbursts both in the mainstream media and also from the online news portasl.

As a constituent who voted for you, I am greatly ashamed by what you have done. We (me , my family and relatives) voted for you because you represented PKR and we place hope in PKR because we have no more hope in the ruling government run by Barisan Nasioanl politicians.

What hope do we have in a corrupt government, a government that encourages racial discrimination and a government that has cronies like the police, the MACC , the judiciary and the mainstream media who work in cohorts with them so they can milk the peoples’ money with impunity?

We want a better future for our children and our grandchildren and it was in people like you that we placed our trust in. But you turned out to be a big disappointment. From your outbursts, it is very obvious that your motives are very selfish, immature and that you care only for yourself. You do not portray one bit someone who is concerned at all for the people who voted for you.

We had expected you to work with the present state government by complementing and supplementing them to bring Penang to greater heights. Most important of all, we expected you to support the CAT (Competency, Accountability and Transparency) principles mooted by Lim Guan Eng because for us to move forward and progress as a nation we need a clean, efficient and people-centric government.

From the very beginning, I realised that Guan Eng will face many challenges after March 8, 2008 because he wanted to implement changes for a better Penang. We gave him and his colleagues our undivided supported and most important of all, we expected our MP Tan Tee Beng to also support him.

But what did you do? You chickened out, badmouthed him and hurled accusations at him hoping that fools like us will believe you and abandon Guan Eng so that you can achieve whatever personal agendas that you have secretly concealed within yourself.

Me, my family and my relatives now realise that you are no different from the politicians from Umno or MCA or Gerakan whom we greatly despise.

I, therefore, urge you to resign from your MP’s post because we certainly do not want you to represent us. You must do that if you are a principled and upright person.

Please do not even think of jumping to BN or a BN-friendly party because we have no appetite to be represented by someone who is associated with a party that indulges in corruption and racial discrimination.

We have been fed with enough poison for the last 50 years by BN. Enough is enough.
