I refer to the article entitled ‘Wary of flip-flop tag, cabinet dithers over English’ in a news website today.
To these cabinet ministers, please personally speak to and consider the anguished feelings of these disheartened pupils who have to undergo a mid-stream language switch next year.
Kindly also consider the plights of many of our youths who have to struggle unnecessarily upon entering business, medical, scientific and many other such courses in local and overseas institutes of higher learning.
Swallow your pride, confront and explain properly the decision to flip-flop instead of hiding behind the excuse of embarrassing U-turns. This is a serious issue that will possibly have a lifetime effect on our children.
May I remind our ministers that your oath of office require making decisions that is for the good of the country and its citizens. You have pledged fiduciary duty to decide based on what is right, NOT fear of embarrassment!
While you fiddle, struggling parents like me who cannot afford private or international school face many sleepless nights thinking of ways to ease the mental torture our children have to endure.
The raykat can see through your sandiwara and suspect the fear loosing votes is the likely reason behind your spineless bull.
