The leaders of DAP must muster up all their courage and stand by recently resigned vice-chief Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim, to retain his services to the party.
If not, they will gravely suffer the loss of a fair, just and impartial leader who is brave enough to speak the truth.
In the NTV 7 interview with Tunku Abdul Aziz last night, it was revealed that there were leaders within DAP who were against the idea of the Bersih 3.0 rally held on April 28 but chose to remain silent over their thoughts.
Around nine other leaders dread the thought of Tunku Abdul Aziz quitting the party but they do not dare to publicly express their support.
The culture in DAP is so deep-rooted that all leaders are obligated to speak with one mind. They are afraid to even utter a whisper if there was a clash in opinion among the top leaders.
Now, they only dare to softly persuade Tunku Abdul Aziz to reconsider his resignation. One small slip in their choice of words, and they will be severely punished.
Therefore, I hereby urge DAP leaders to be brave and defend Tunku Abdul Aziz. Do not continue to be puppets of the higher ranks of DAP and quit hiding behind their backs.
Since when did DAP stoop to such a state that they need assistance from an outsider? Is there really no one amongst DAP who dares not to speak the truth and stand by Tunku Abdul Aziz?
How can they continue to ignore their conscience? Is DAP so desperate that they do not mind going against its original political values for the sake of power?
Pakatan leaders can do their best to put up a front, showing us that they are united as ever.
However, we all know that gag orders are the reasons why voices of dissent are not leaked to the public. It is all an act to deceive the people of Malaysia.
