Being intelligent and religious at the same time is a contradiction in terms.

All religions are convenient man-made vehicles for the organisation, control and exploitation of human beings. They continue to exist through strong marketing, promotional and public relation activities often incorporating strong-arm tactics and brainwashing techniques. Missionaries are just salesmen.

Every religion of course claims to be from God. If they did not make this claim, no one will believe in religion. It is fear of the unknown that forces people to believe in religion.

God does not have a religion. God being God has no need for a religion.

All religions work on the same principle i.e. instilling fear in human beings on the possible fate that awaits them after death and manipulating them through those fears.

I say to these people. Don't worry about where you are going after death. It's pretty obvious that after death you are going to wherever you were before you were born. No matter what happens, that's a pretty good deal.

Concentrate on the here and now and above all believe in yourself. Not this or that mullah, mad or otherwise.

Let's maintain the present system of separation of church and state in Malaysia.

The way to deal with the PAS government in Kelantan and Terengganu is to take a leaf from India which has the same Federal set-up we have.

The steps to take are as follows:

preventive detention of PAS leaders;

declaration of a state of emergency in Kelantan and Terengganu over the Hudud Bill and other issues like the global war against terrorism;

dismissal of the state governments of Kelantan and Terengganu; and

imposition of direct Federal rule in Kelantan and Terengganu. Federal rule should be extended every six months until such time when it is possible to allow normal political activity;

ban any political party from having the word Islam/Hindu/Christian in its name and using Islam or any religion as its ideology.
