Lo and behold, the closet racists of Umno Youth have once again found their voices in the recent Penang Outer Road Ring (Porr) uproar.

When the Indonesians rape, murder, pillage and threaten our country, the chief and his lackeys find themselves suffering from a severe case of voice loss. Not even so much as a croak, as they cowl under their beds at the might across the Malaccan Straits.

Yet, when the minority in their own homeland speaks and cries out for a hint of justice, the gang suddenly find their voices, spewing out racist vitriol, in the name of their race and religion.

As a Malaysian, I have given up hope of ever seeing a unified Malaysia in my lifetime. Not when the next batch of our nation's leaders, the likes of the present Umno Youth, displays no pride in being part of a multiracial society, and sheds no qualm in undoing the good work of our forebears for their selfish political gain.

When will they realise that the enemy is not within, that the enemy is not their neighbours just because they light up their homes and shop for Christmas tinsels, and not the people who sing the Negaraku with fervour but do not visit the local mosque on Friday?

The enemy is that who is willing to bomb, threaten our society, all in the name of religious zeal. The enemy is the one who seeks to label us a terrorist hub to gain political domination over Malaysia. The enemy is that who looks across the sea and sees wealth that can be plundered.

The likes of Umno Youth do not see the enemy. All they see is opportunity to enjoy the wealth of the nation in their lifetime. So be it if they leave behind a fragmented society, a nation ridden with hate. So be it that in 10 years time, the current unabated entry of illegal immigrants, fiercely loyal to their own cultures, will mean that they will become the number two minority in the nation. So be it that the poor in the kampung remain poor while their kind enjoy their caviar, jewellery and Mercedes Benzes.

The uproar over the Porr issue is just one in a list of examples of how the ruling government justifies its actions in benefitting a few, even in sacrificing the good of many others. That is nothing more than what we have come to expect from a government bankrupt of moral individuals.

Umno Youth's response and their ludicrous reasons are even more appalling when one considers that they will succeed the present leaders.

As a Malaysian, I fear the day when we will be colonialised once again. No, not because we are poor militarily, but because as a nation, we invited dominance with the constant weakening of our national foundations by the likes of Umno Youth. The price the nation must pay for their brand of obtuseness and greed is indeed too much to bear.
