I am a former Malaysian and was appalled by the 'gestapo' tactic of the Malaysian government in the raid confiscating your equipment. As we know it, press freedom has been virtually non-existent in Malaysia for decades and malaysiakini is a breath of fresh air.
I will like to suggest that you relocate your webservers offshore and since I am in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada, I think it'll be perfect for you to do it here. I am not rich therefore I do not think I can contribute financially to your cause, but I know I can help you in other ways. Also, we have a sizeable population of ex-Malaysians in Vancouver who may be more than willing to support you.
By locating your web services offshore, you will only be responsible for your web content and your web servers will be safe from the government should they decide to cite 'sedition' for your arrest. Also, the Internet infrastructure in North America is world-class and the connectivity to your website will be faster, less of a hassle and not subjected to the Malaysian government's control.
Please consider my proposal. Like I said before, there are many Malaysians in Vancouver who will be more than happy to chip in and make sure your superb effort will not be subjected to the tyrannical whims of the Malaysian government.
