My first reaction upon reading Mustapha ong's letter , was of total incredulity. It is incredible that malaysiakini chose to print such a poor attempt at justifying the ISA.

Obviously, Mustapha feels tremendously proud and honoured to be a friend of Pak Lah, and it is most inconceivable to him that he or his loved ones will ever fall foul of the act. Even in the unlikely event that it happens, of course by some big mistake, he can always count on his buddy to bail him out.

Well, Mustapha, it is you who should come out of your cocoon, for it is for this very reason that the ISA is flawed.

It is a law arbitrarily wielded that places guilt on you rather than putting the onus of proof on the accuser. What happened to the rights of a Malaysian to defend himself/herself in his/her own country?

From the results of the last general elections, about half of the total votes cast were for the opposition. Wonder how Malaysia would function if we all were to take his advice and move to another country.

I suppose his reply would be "very well, thank you and good riddance".
