The government and the local press have lost any little credibility it had with the fiasco on the police to population ratio. First, it was a joke for them to make the error , and secondly they are now desperately trying to save face, by acting as if the issue never arose!

And now for the issue of only one Indian student gaining entry to Universiti Malaya medical intake when there were 16 last year.

The educated public already feel uneasy with how the meritocracy system is being handled with at least three different types of exams.

This is the chance of the Education Minister to demonstrate that it is being done properly. All he has to do is disclose the qualifications of the 200 students into UM medical facility.

Now that's not a difficult challenge or is it? Bring on the elections!
