PM Najib Abdul Razak this afternoon opined that one possibility was that MH370 was diverted to a corridor between Thailand to Kazakhstan (he also mentioned Turkmenistan).

I looked at the world map again and noted that Xinjiang is right to the border of Kazakhstan. There's a lot of speculation on the background of some passengers on MH370 that day, most likely of Uighur origin. (I had written on this before.)

This was a MH/Southern China (CZ) code share. Almost exactly six years ago (March 8, 2008), there was an attempted suicide attack on a CZ flight to Beijing by an Uighur. A coincidence?

I was informed by a senior pilot that the fuel supply in MH370 may just have been enough to reach the Middle East/Central Asia. Then again, Turkmenistan borders Iran, the country of origin of the two passengers who flew on the stolen passports. Another coincidence?

Given that now the authorities have now openly said that the plane's monitoring devices were deliberately switched off and that hijacking was a possibility not proven, I'm now venturing an opinion that instead of being "deliberately switched off", could someone with expertise in telecommunications/electronics have "jammed" the telecommunications equipment on the plane while his accomplice went about the designated tasks.

Frankly, at the wee hours of the morning, any human watching the radar screen would also not necessarily be alerted to telecommunications wizardry on board, controlled via say, a laptop in a briefcase.

This control/scrambling device could have been brought into the airport without having to take it out of the cabin luggage when passing through the checks at the main entry.

That's why there's so much contradictory opinions on whether the transponders continued to "ping" or not. I suggest we review the airport CCTV footage of all the passengers screened at both the main terminal and boarding gate to get a positive lead to this mystery.
