MCA Kajang candidate Chew Mei Fun may be playing a less vulgar electoral game at Kajang as compared to the previous contests, but it does not mean her campaign is completely squeaky clean.

Deception and half-truths are just as bad as lying, and let's not beat around the bush, her campaign has been largely a whole bunch of half-truths and twisted facts.

Why talk about the traffic jams and clogged drains in Kajang, these are endemic in every centimetre of Malaysia, as bad in BN-held areas as in Pakatan's. Check out the traffic in KL, and the disgusting drains that we have, despite being directly under a BN minister.

Why not tell voters that Pakatan states get less money from Putrajaya and have a lot less federal allocations? Why not tell voters that BN MPs get a million a year and Pakatan MPs only get a fraction?

Why not remind Kajang voters, in this time of drought, that it was BN leaders who placed obstacles in Selangor taking over Syabas in order to manage it properly? Why not tell Kajang folk the smoke they are breathing in is in part coming from fires in BN states?

So please, don't bother pretending to be the good girl, and act as if you are running as an independent without all your BN baggage behind you.

If you really want to show you can help the Chinese, you simply have to do two things before polling day.

1. Put up the motion you will, should you win, submit to the Selangor state assembly to remove the ban on 'Allah' and the other words from use by non-Muslims.

After all, wasn't it Selangor MCA who were urging Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim to do so? Well, as a potential assemblyperson, show your sincerity by drafting the motion and getting all your Selangor BN assemblypersons to endorse it and sign a pledge to support it in the Dewan Negeri.

2. Put up the motion you will submit to Selangor state assembly to amend the state constitution to allow a non-Muslim to be menteri besar. After all, it was your Selangor MCA secretary Ng Chok Sin who had called the bluff, right?

Walk your talk. Get all your Selangor Umno reps to endorse it as well and sign a pledge to support it in the Dewan Negeri. Get your Selangor Umno partners to issue a statement swearing they will support a non-Muslim to be Selangor MB and help amend the laws accordingly.

Do this now, before polling day, as a show of your sincerity.

Can you do it? Right... I didn't think so.
