I am rather confused as to what breakthrough we are achieving by sending a passenger on a Russian spacecraft.

That lucky guy will just have a trip costing millions at our expense. I don't think we, as a nation, need this sort of thing to show off that we are ahead of others.

We are still very far off behind. All of us know that we cannot even build some simple computer labs properly.

Be our humble selves and we will gain all the respect due to us. Try to be something else and we end up the laughing stock of the whole world.
