With the continuing unfair and unjust treatment, or some may describe as persecution, of her father, Anwar Ibrahim, as amply described in Ah Chong's letter , Nurul Izzah should contest in this general election.

Having been beaten up by the then inspector general of police, the government should take full responsibility. Not only was there no apology, obstacles were placed to further deny him justice and prompt medical treatment. The fact that the past and present leadership has allowed this callous situation to continue for more than five years is unbelievable. Some people have already described him as 'history' in our political scene.

So for the sake of her father, Nurul should make full use of this election to become a member of parliament. Just like her mother, Dr Wan Azizah, I am sure the voters, regardless of race or religion, will support her cause. She should make full use of the sympathy votes while the issue is still relevant. History has shown that sometimes, people were forced into a given situation and it might be fated that she should join her mother in continuing the fight for justice.

Do not worry about criticisms like nepotism or political dynasty. They have made it personal, so take it as a challenge and prove them wrong. Show that you have the support of the people! Let the voters be the jury!
