I refer to Royal Malaysian Air Force chief General Abdullah Ahmad's call for his personnel to vote for Barisan Nasional and not to bite the hand that feeds them in the election.
Your presumption that the ruling party should have their votes because it 'feeds' them is simply unbecoming of an army officer of your status. Let me remind you that we, the people who are the taxpayers, pay for your salary.
By dictating and coaxing on which party your subordinates should vote, you are biting the hands that feed you. I say, let them vote by their own freewill. Maybe the long service in the army makes you forget that ours is a democracy, not a military state.
It is timely you will be retiring soon and I hope in your free time later, you can read back and comprehend our constitution regarding the rights of a citizen as a voter.
