The appointment of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamamd as advisor to Proton is surely a most devastating move. Either the present government is setting him up or it thinks he is God's gift to mankind.

Everybody without exception knows that Proton is a near total failure in terms of profit-making and competing in the international arena. And the architect of Proton, who is none other than the Mahathir himself, is wholly to blame for this colossal failure.

I'm sure the doctor's first move as advisor for Proton would predictably be to push for protection Proton for another 20 years!
