With reference to the case of a husband converting to Islam, it is surprising that he can also converts the religion of his children who are in his ex-wife's custody to Islam (without his ex-wife's consent).

We have a learned judge passing the buck to the Syariah Court which has no jurisdiction to hear the case brought about by a non-Muslim mother about the conversion of her own children.

Let us now suppose that it was the mother who converted to Islam, and she wanted her children to convert, what would the courts decision be then? That since the husband and legal father was still a non-Muslim, the children must remain non-Muslim?

Or that the guardian of the children is the mother, and hence the children should follow the mother's religious faith?

Let us no forget, that the children were born as non-Muslims. This is a case of a selfish man who wants the children he fathered from his first wife. The children, poor souls, are in for a rough time. God help them.

Please judges, pass judgements with your conscience absolutely free, for don't forget that there will also be a judgement day for you, too.
