I refer to the letter It's time Muslims really spoke out .

The writer doesn't seem to understand the reality which prevents many Muslims from speaking out against injustices perpetrated by other Muslims in the name of their religion.

During this imperialistic era, the manipulated media is fully-controlled either by capitalistic nation-governments or the puppets autocrat-dictators. How then can these dictated Muslims speak out to voice their views on truth and justice?

This has also contributed to the state of mind of Muslims today. Many are confused as to who is 'right' or 'wrong', 'traitor' or 'fighter', 'invader' or 'defender', 'aggressor' or 'victim', 'oppressor' or 'helper', 'dictator' or 'leader', 'killer' or 'savior', 'destroyer' or 'nation builder', etc.

In the Muslim conflicts areas like Palestine, Afghanistan, India Kashmiri, Chechnya, Thai Pattani, Philippine Mindanao , Burma, Iraq, Bosnia, Aceh and other discriminated and repressed Muslims' regions, where are those people voices'? Why have they not been heard?

Islamic teachings calls for freedom, goodness, truth, justice, peace, harmony and human rights - for all. But it must be stated that if they are repressed and oppressed, the provision of a right to defence is also there.

But cruelty, crime, terrorism, exploitation, corruption and vice activities are sinful for every Muslim. For after all, they are unlawful, inhuman acts. Killings without due legal processes first are not permitted

In Muslim conflict regions, colonialisation, intervention and exploitation of national resources need to be taken into account as reasons for instability. If a Muslim rises up in the name of freedom and democracy to fight against an aggressor, invader or colonialist, is he to be branded a traitor? A terrorist?

Who were they who for hundreds of years killed women and children, robbed natural resources, destroyed civilisations and forcibly occupied other countries? What is the definition of a 'terrorist' in the eye of Westerners?

Why look at Muslims only when the bigger picture shows who is really responsible for the world's situation today.
