With reference to the letters on Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Mega banning non-halal food from its canteen, I wish to say that non-Muslims should not be too surprised by this ruling.
I believe that will be more 'intolerant' and 'uncompromising rulings' to come as the country becomes the most advanced Muslim nation in the world with the technologies to produce cars and aircraft. There is nothing non-Muslims can do about this.
Non-Muslims cannot expect their views to be taken into consideration when the country is becoming more religious. Soon the pig farms will be gone and approval will not be granted for non-halal eateries as our garbage collectors are mainly Muslims.
Pork will be banned in this country along with short skirts and jeans. Non-Muslim Malaysians overseas will become the intellectual property of Malaysia Inc even if they not sponsored by the government to begin with.
Non-Muslims have to know that one cannot have national unity and yet retain distinct and different cultural and religious backgrounds.
