I have been an admirer of Anwar Ibrahim for a long time now. What happened to him six years ago was something beyond my imagination.
My heart and many of those here in Singapore, who have followed his political career, went out to him and his family. Throughout his incarceration, I prayed that Allah swt would grant him peace and patience to endure the injustice of his incarceration. I am now grateful that his patience has paid off.
Nothing could describe the euphoria I felt when he was released on Sept 2. Justice has been served and faith in the Malaysian judiciary restored.
My personal wishes to Anwar are that he has a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Our prayers and support are with him.
