I read with interest letters that argue that Muslims are victims of terror and those which argue that they are not doing enough to counter terror from within the ummah.

Frankly, we Muslims are dying as a people. Our religious teachers have been possessed by the False Islam called Wahhabism, which was created by the Saudi Arabian founding fathers. As a result, Wahhabism spread all over the world from Saudi Arabia and polluted the minds of many religious teachers and their students.

Today, a lot of people who claim to be Muslims are either open Wahhabists or closet Wahhabists. This is why we see a lack of Muslims speaking out against violence committed by the most brutal and extreme Wahhabist Muslims.

Then, there are the secularist Muslim politicians. Too many of them are corrupt and brutal. They do not want democratic debate and discussions in their respective countries. As a result, those who oppose them fall into the clutches of the Wahhabis, the most extreme-minded people in the ummah, who do not deserve to represent or speak for Islam.

And there are the hypocrites or 'munafik'. They may appear as progressive-minded Muslims but many of their followers and students are really closet Wahhabis.

And the non-Muslim politicians who dominate the world today, especially those from North America, Western Europe and Australia, have a hidden agenda against Islam dating back to the days of King Richard 1 of England who led the Crusades.

While they openly say that they have nothing but utmost respect for Islam, the truth is, they are closet opponents of a strong Islam.

The proof is that they always say that Islam borrowed from Judaism and Christianity, a big fallacy. Islam came directly from God, just as Judaism and Christianity came directly from God. Islam is older than Judaism and Christianity, really.

But we, the ummah, have lent them more than enough ammunition to destroy Islamdom and render Islam insignificant as a force for goodness in the globalised world of this century. We have allowed ourselves to be poisoned by the twin evils of Wahhabism and Attaturkism, the secular dictatorship manifested in most Muslim heads of state since the end of World War 1.
