Despite protests from the rakyat, the Plus has gone ahead and increased their toll rates, further burdening the people. Is it any fault of the people that highway operators are losing money? Is it any fault of the people that these crony companies are inefficient, have no proper business accountability and serve only to enrich the pockets of a few?

Petrol prices have steadily rocketed along with our utility bills, food and rent. Now, we have to pay an extra 10 percent for using the a vital and necessary highway.

I propose that opposition parties and NGOs push the public to adopt 'HATI' - Honk Against Toll Increase. Under HATI, each time we pass through a toll plaza, we blast our horns in protest. This is the only thing we can do as there is no other way to voice our dissatisfaction.

It is no wonder that this toll rate increase was not done last year just before the general elections. Our caring leader have come up with all sorts catchy phrases but to date the rakyat has seen little action.

Corrupt ministers are still in the cabinet and the status quo is still to be observed in government services. Talk about an anti-climax. Well, here is a catchy word for him - HATI. - Honk Against Toll Increase!
