I refer to Dr HT Tan's Gay people not born that way . I am surprised that the kind doctor has chosen to put forward his arguments against homosexuality.
I have read through Tan's arguments and, quite frankly, found them unconvincing to say the least. Who is to say that the arguments have not been 'doctored' to support the views of those who discriminate against people born not within the so-called 'norms' of society.
The medical world has always tried to discriminate against these people. They, together with religious groups have oppressed the weak and uninitiated for years. They have for centuries looked down upon fat people, short people, persons with disabilities etc.
Hence they have come up with the science of Eugenics in order to create the 'right' kind of race where they hope to eliminate the people mentioned above from the face of the earth.
I think that the good doctor should not bother about trying to study gay people put perhaps study heterosexuals instead. Who knows what interesting things he might come up with in the process.
My vote is 'yes' for people to choose their own sexual preferences.
