Parents are setting such a bad example for their children

Have you ever wondered where children pick up their bad habits from, such as smoking, double parking, throwing rubbish everywhere and many others?

It may be from friends, maybe from teachers at school but I believe it is mostly from their parents.

I believe parents are the No 1 cause of their children’s bad habit. They don’t set a good example to their children and then don’t realise that the children then naturally follows their bad habits.

Nowhere this is more apparent and obvious then how parents behave when they drop off and pick up their children from school.

In the morning, they will stop the car in the middle of the road to drop their kids as it will slow them down to pull up by the kerb and re-join after dropping off.

In the afternoon, they turn the roads into utter mayhem. Not only double parking but even triple parking. They must be right in front of the school gate, otherwise when their kids exit, someone may kidnap them or they won’t know what to do. Even though there is ample space to wait in a single line, they won’t. They will be parked haphazardly as close as possible to the school gates.

However, as soon as their children get into their cars, they will be turning twisting and do whatever necessary to get back on the roads, notwithstanding the additional chaos on top of the chaos they already caused by marking selfishly and mindlessly .

The irony is, how it is when parents drop and pick their children from international schools, they can wait patiently in one line, but in national schools it is a free for all scramble.

Later the children grows up and repeat the same selfish attitude which is then extended and compounded even further resulting in total mayhem on roads and the ever increasing accidents and death on roads.
