I now envy one luxury that Dr Mahathir Mohamad has returning your Proton car to the company!

Maybe Mahathir finally realised the frustration of owning these low-quality and high- maintenance Proton cars. Maybe he's experienced for himself the disappointment of having to change the fuel tank of the Proton cars within the first two weeks of delivery.

Maybe he's also had to face, within the first three months after delivery, failed power windows, wacko reverse sensors, malfunctioning air-cond and unreliable ECUs.

Maybe he's also had the privilege of suffering the annoying rattling and squeaking sounds coming from the low-quality struts, which need to be changed within five months of delivery.

Or maybe Mahathir is also ticked off that the remote alarm system failed him when he was trying to quickly get into his Proton during a shower.

There are thousands of frustrated Proton owners. We should have the same right to return our junk-quality Proton cars to the company and get our money back.

We Proton owners also have strained relations with Proton!
