I refer to the report in the Star today 'Tough stand on racial remarks'.

At the end of the report they insert this item "In 2003, however, the malaysiakini office was raided by police investigating an alleged seditious letter posted on the news website following a report lodged by Umno Youth."

Leaving it at that, it would seem like all of the Star 's readers worldwide would have in their heads the idea that either malaysiakini is guilty of a mischief reported about in the earlier paragraphs of that they would most likely be charged with it.

The fact is malaysiakini has not been charged with anything and all the computers seized by the police have been returned and if I am not mistaken the police have also closed the file on it.

If I know that much, and all that I am is just a reader of both the Star and malaysiakini presently located thousands of miles away from where the action is, the Star cannot deny knowledge of this as well.

Obviously, The Star is stretching their license to print a little here and are being in the process mischievous with the plain intention of casting a negative image of malaysiakini.

It is about time malaysiakini do something to put a stop to this kind of malicious and mischief making among the print licensed media!
