I refer to the article A story of corruption and police abuse .

The inspector-general of police should follow up on this report. What happened in Pudu jail as related by the writer could not be an isolated example and other detainees there must have also received similar treatment.

This cannot happen in Malaysia and should not be allowed to happen again. Malaysia follows a system of treating an accused person innocent until he is proven guilty.

Why did the police not allow the accused persons a second urine test when they were confident of taking a second test? Surely that would have prevented a lot of unnecessary work involving all the concerned government agencies.

Were the policemen given certain incentives to arrest suspects? Would this have resulted in negative drug use results 'turning' positive?
