  • I refer to the letter Unnecessary tests for heart problems.

It is true that lately, a lot of health care firms have come in to the market offering diagnostic services using the latest state-of-the-art equipment.

Prevention is, no doubt, better than cure. If a patient takes an entire package, ie, Dexa bone densitometry, x-rays,and a CT scan, how much radiation are they going to be exposed to?

Is there any study done on this? Is there any justification in getting young people exposed to so much radiation?

It is time the Malaysian Medical Council acts to regulate the preventive health care industry in Malaysia.
    • Unnecessary tests for heart problems
    • Lower cancer treatment cost will save lives
    • Medical errors need to be checked, monitored
    • Doctors want more than a Kancil
    • Healthcare shouldnt be a business
    • Local healthcare more killing than healing
