Converts from one religion to another, and particularly those who have converted to Islam, are keeping their conversion a secret and hopefully may have learned from the saga of M Moorthy.

Like in Moorthy's case and in many other similar cases, however much you keep your new faith under wraps, the past catches up at death. When that happens, your deceitful act only brings unnecessary anguish, hurt and embarrassment to the family.

If you have taken the decision to convert, then be proud of your new faith. Love, adhere to the tenets and teachings but more importantly, practice your faith in the open.
