Referring to the letter from JAG entitled Islamic Family Law bill fundamentally unjust , it is not enough for the writer to state summarily that the bill is unjust. The writer should pinpoint which parts and sections of the bill she considers unjust and against the principles of justice and equality as enshrined in the Quran.

By doing so, she would have put her case on sounder ground. Otherwise, she just exposes her and her group to the accusations that they are ignorant of Islamic principles and law, and that they are mere tool at the hands of a greater alien agenda against Islam.

This is especially so after the implementation of the bill has been postponed and amendments to it are being prepared. The writer and her group should at least wait for the new amendments to be made public before declaring the bill is unjust.

It seems that she and her group would stop at nothing until the bill is stripped of any veneer of Islamic principles and teachings and becomes Islamic only in name.
