I refer to Peter Ooi's Spare a thought for poor pensioners and would like to remind the government that pensioners are still humans beings and need to be taken care of.

They are also a force to reckon with during voting times too.

If Petronas can give a nine-month bonus and civil servants be given a one-month bonus plus many salary revisions, why can't government also give some thought to the pensioners?

So far they have had only one RM200 bonus given as a one-off "luxury".

Why are they so mean towards the pensioners who had given their best to the country? Remember, you will be pensioners too one day.

The price hikes from the fuel price increase has hit the pensioners badly. Shouldn't their pension be revised upward, by say 5%, to compensate for the 20-30% increase in the cost of living?
