The just concluded Sarawak state elections - the one where the BN actually wanted a clean sweep of - is a wake-up call to intolerant leaders.

Can't they just learn to live with a lively opposition and get on with the actual task of working for the people instead of dreaming of steam rolling over everything with a one-party rule?

I hope that all leaders of Malaysia learn to live and listen to alternate views so that it will be fair to all. The government's 'intolerant of opposition' stance is dangerous and we can see that it rubs off onto some segments of society which later displays the same intolerance in everyday life.

It is time we do away with the intolerant view of one party, one rule, one culture, one religion and accept that it is alright to agree to disagree.

Kudos to the people of Sarawak and Kuching.
