Interesting take on PAS by Wong Chin Huat. While he takes great pains to emphasise that PAS is turning around, I think the reality is far from that. PAS remains PAS and is committed to an Islamic state.
That by itself is not a problem, except that no one seems to know what kind of state it will be and that is the problem which even PR-like pieces like this can't change.
The fact is that PAS is an Islamist party in a secular country. It has limited appeal, thank god, and is definitely out of sync with the world that it lives in.
