Since May this year, I have written numerous letters to Kuala Lumpur City Hall about rubbish piling up near my house. All my complaints went unanswered.

I then wrote a second letter to DBKL on the matter and again I received no answer. In June, I wrote to DBKL for the third time and copied my letter to the National Complaints Bureau, Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister of Federal Territories.

To date, there seems to be no action forthcoming.

There seems to be no political will on the part of government to be accountable. It is no wonder then that the roads are now littered with potholes, corruption is on the rise, motorists routinely flout regulations, the rich become increasingly arrogant and we set up a bureau to look into the problem of unemployed graduates instead of reforming the education system.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, S Samy Velu, Ong Ka Ting and Lim Keng Yaik are creatures of the past. They will not reform under any circumstance. Give Khairy a chance. There is no other viable alternative.
