Something is terribly wrong with Umno Youth. First, it was Khairy Jamaluddin with his provocative remarks attacking his fellow BN component parties, particularly the MCA.

Can't the Umno leadership see that Khairy is creating unrest among the BN parties? When certain offended parties demanded that Khairy apologise, he refused. It is akin to challenging MCA Youth along this line: 'I won't apologise, what can you do to me?'

To make matters worse, Umno Youth head Hishamuddin Hussein Onn, much to my disappointment, joined in Khairy's offensive, warning MCA Youth not to challenge them. And this was started by Khairy in the first place. To claim that he was misunderstood is not the way to make things better. It will only create dissatisfaction.

As a layman with little knowledge in politics, what type of impression does this give me? There is a war between the BN component parties, and will things take a turn for the worse? You bet.

Therefore, before the war within BN gets ugly, I would like Umno, particularly Umno Youth, to ponder upon this: Will Umno be able to survive on its own without the MCA and MIC's support? Well, will it?

Together we stand, divided we fall. So true, so wise, and this anthem should be played right after every Negaraku at all Umno and BN functions as a reminder.

Why attack other component parties in the first place, Khairy? Are you so insecure and look down on your own ability that you constantly need to worry that the MCA will be a threat to you and Umno?

On another matter, why can't the Chinese and the Malays work hand in hand to develop Malaysia into another economic superpower? It can't be denied that the Chinese are good at doing business. What benefit will it bring Malaysia and the Malays if this ability of the Chinese is suppressed?

And what will be the benefits to the Malays and the country if they work hand-in-hand with the Chinese? Won't they not be developing by leaps and bounds too? Won't they be wealthy too?

Sadly, going by Khairy's scenario, the Malays feel threatened and resort to vilifying the Chinese. It's like a sampan. If this is allowed to continue, the economic sampan shall sink and all Malays, Chinese and Indians are going to go down with the sampan. And the foreigners are all going to laugh at our silliness.
