The letter, M'sian Muslims should see other viewpoints , and the first letter ( A Pakistani Muslim and a M'sian Christian ) from Khalid J are awesome testaments of courage.

Love conquers all says many a bard, and I believe - having read a little of religion - so does the 'great' beliefs of this planet. All the arguments against Khalid's thesis were so much verbal abuse with nary a sliver of what the spirit all men (women also) hunger for - love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith.

Assuredly, these values transcend all the present-day strictures that we now have. I believe much of these rules and rites that were added over time are plain and simple bondage. They want us to lose sight of true religion, which isn't it a bundle of love?

We should delight in the myriad ways that we humans express this greatest of feelings. Certainly the essence of religion can only be encapsulated in this wonderful wholesome term, "goodwill to all men (and women)".

The overly religious intellectuals would have you think differently. They have the rules, you see, and by gum, they are not about to give that up for something like 'love' - totally soapy, sentimental, unknown, unquantifiable, unpredictable, immeasurable and absolutely awesome!

So go you merry way my friend, and let the devil take the consequences.
