I refer to the malaysiakini report Police reports lodged over Zakaria's mansion fracas .

What HRH Sultan of Selangor has done should be an eye opener to the rulers of all the other states. Taking the cue from YAM Raja Nazrin Shah, yes, Malaysia might be the constitutional monarchy but the sultans benefit from the purse strings of the rakyat for their upkeep and survival.

In instances such as this blatant abuse of power by a 'wakil rakyat', it is not wrong therefore, or if I may add, even incumbent upon the sultans to act, if at least to uphold the very institution of the constitutional monarchy.

It was certainly right for HRH Sultan of Selangor to act, to send out the clear message that this nonsense that these so-called people representatives have carried out with total impunity, must stop.

Tuanku, in case you have not yet realised, the rakyat have very little recourse. We go to the menteri besar and the MB says, (quote) '...the offence is no different from that of a speeding ticket'!

We have no confidence with the police force. No confidence in the ACA. And no confidence that the guilty would ever be prosecuted by the AG's Chambers, by virtue of their positions in the "family".

Thank you, Tuanku. And we pray that this will not be the last time that these 'honourable' ones be publicly reprimanded!
