I refer to the malaysiakini report Model's murder: Where did they get explosives?
I have had the pleasure of meeting the political analyst and have also attended some of the seminars that he had organised. He comes across as an affable, intelligent and outgoing personality. It is really sad that things have come to this state where he has been taken in for questioning.
Whatever be his lifestyle, the reality that a girl could be allegedly abducted by police personnel and then shot to death and then her body destroyed by an explosion only reveals that high-powered people are involved.
The police can recover a lot of credibility if they could nail this case to the extent of securing a conviction for those involved.
However, we have seen some cases like the Noritta murder case and the one involving a Datuk and a drowned Chinese boy which have exposed the inadequacies of both our police and prosecutors.
I do hope the AG's Chambers and the police will ensure that this Mongolian case is a much more professionally handled case as the 'chain of the guilty' could go very high up indeed what with plastic explosives, UTK (police elite unit) personnel, chief inspectors being allegedly involved.
