I refer to the letter by A Desperate Expat entitled Streamyx way to bankruptcy . I, too, have had numerous bad experiences with TM Net's broadband service Streamyx. It is the same story always, ie, they assure you of assistance within 48 hours and then it is postponed continuously.

Making calls to Streamyx's hotline is also a challenge to patience as all they do is pass me from one person to another, who in turn make me repeat everything I have already said. Each person types out every single word I say even when I tell them to stop typing and to listen to the problem (they type this down too).

After all the stress, an appointment date for a technician will be confirmed. On each and every occasion though, no one shows up. I then repeat my calls to Streamyx and go through the Streamyx nightmare all over again, only to have the same result. Once, this nightmare went on for four months.

On one occasion, I went to the Streamyx outlet to personally report a problem. To my surprise, I was told in no uncertain terms that after the massive multi-million ringgit identity change by TM Group, most of the technicians were actually laid off in order to reduce costs.

TM Net spent millions on their advertising campaign recently on their re-branding exercise. It is quite obviously a big farce as their service has deteriorated. The entire campaign was only about a superficial image change. And A Desperate Expat expects Streamyx to improve its services? Good luck to him.
