The recent Umno assembly has seen the rearing of many ugly heads. It is no wonder why Newsweek magazine labeled Umno as 'a seething snake pit'.

There was a glorious display of hissing, swearing, damning and the unsheathing of the keris against imaginary enemies. Abdullah's closing speech - a desperate measure to salvage whatever damage done - was too late.

The fact that his people have taken upon themselves to demonstrate such extremism, reflects not only gross immaturity, but hatred for all non-Malays. That the Umnoputeras have enjoyed such liberty also reflects on the fact that Abdullah has lost his grip.

These Umnoputeras have shown their true colours. Non-Malays have always suspected this and the recent theatrics have confirmed it. There is no room for love for any non-Malay.

But take note, oh ye bumiputeras. There is no love for you either from them. A poor bumi will always be a poor bumi. Unlikely to be in the company of the Umnoputeras who have grabbed all the wealth from you. See for yourself when they pass by in their voluptuous Mercedeses.

Strange, how Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech comes to mind: 'I have a dream that one day this nation would rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, not be judged by the colour of our skin but by the content of our character'.

This is a strong articulation of the values and qualities that all men should aspire to - not in the creating of enormous disparities between and among colours.

Strong words have been spoken at the Umno meet which are difficult to obliterate. All that is ugly in Umno has been exhibited with no holds barred - bigotry, hatred, bias and discrimination.

'Injustice any where is a threat to justice everywhere'.
