We minority community Malaysians will be able to sleep easy if there are many more Muslim Malaysians with the open-mindedness of Hamdan Ibrahim who wrote SMS rumour: All should have special prayers .

The rambunctious keris-clutching Hishahmuddin should order the police to apprehend the ringleaders of the unruly gangster-type mob which demonstrated at the Silibin Road Catholic church in Ipoh three weeks ago.

There is sufficient photographic evidence of these malefactors and there are witnesses to the seditious insults uttered at the demonstration.

On matters which would not even bother the most scrupulous and finicky law-abiding widow, the police act with alacrity. Why then have they not charged any of the culprits mentioned above? The mufti of Perak must also be hauled up for disseminating false message.

Or are the police so independent that they will begin their investigations only when they receive their orders from Umno leaders?
