I refer to the letter Mongolian murder leave Najib out of it by Dr Jacob George. I must say I am very surprised by his comment as all we Malaysians know that the independence of our judiciary has yet to be totally proven.

When there is a high-profile case involving foreigners, we should be aware that the eyes of the world will be upon us. It is better to resolve the case as fast as possible rather than dragging it. By then the actual culprit may have found a loophole to escape.

The involvement of UTK personnel and the use of C4 explosive are others factors which must be cleared up. The public has not been informed why UTK personnel were involved or how C$ explosives got into their hands. Can someone in the government come forward with a clear statement to the media and explain things to ordinary citizens like us?

Our judiciary needs a major revamp but the government does not like the idea of having too many non-bumiputera judges. Did you see how Anwar Ibrahim's case was handled? It was 'arranged' by someone (we all know who) that Augustine Paul from Malacca hear the case.

At the end of the day, the country became the laughing stock of the world.

Jacob, I do respect your views and opinion, but I would rather prefer you to wait and see. I, too, am disturbed by all these events and am very sad for our beloved prime minister and Malaysians.
