I refer to the malaysiakini report Muslim wife, five children 'taken away'.

Again, another episode of child-snatching by officials in the name of religion. I am really fed up of these self-righteous officials who think that they were doing the children a great deed.

When children are denied of parental love and guidance at this tender age, we need not have child psychologists to tell us it is very traumatic to the children. When children are denied the love and warmth of their parents, they are likely to grow up to be 'problem' children.

I wonder if these religious officials took that factors into consideration when they decided to snatch the children away.

While their intention may be glorious in the eyes of God, I believe it would be detrimental to the healthy development of the children, both mentally and psychologically. They would pose more problems in future to society.

I think it is time the authority put a stop to these uncalled for actions by religious officials before more harm is done to the children.
