We need to have a check and balance in the country otherwise whoever is in power will just roll over everything and everyone they fancy. Even if PKR does not win in Ijok, at least the party has sent a strong message to the ruling government that they are being watched.

I sincerely hope that the voters there will give a chance to PKR to represent them in the state assembly.

Everyone knows that miracles happens in by-elections. How is it a windfall of development can come to Ijok all of a sudden when under 15 years of Barisan rule there was no development and the people's welfare not looked into?

Now rotten roads get a resurfacing, schools gets allocations, places of worship get facelifts, etc. Is the Barisan trying to show that there is development under their rule? Well, apparently there is only when they want your votes in a by-election.

To hell with this kind of tactics. The people are no longer stupid, Khir Toyo (and you other Barisan bigwigs).

What they want are changes in your style of governing. Treat all the citizens as equals. Why deny them of their rights? Every citizen has a right to religious freedom, education and the freedom to vote as they choose. Don't intimidate them just because' they are not educated.
