I couldn't agree more with Khalid Ibrahim's statement on Guthrie's acquisition by PNB in 1981. That was famously known as the 'Dawn Raid'.

The Brits were furious and accused us of an 'unfair takeover'. Well, we played by their rules and we won. Tan Sri, you made us proud!

The Brits were adamant that the takeover was illegal and 'pressured' our government of the day. We stood by our stand and subsequently, we imposed a 'Buy British Last' policy (to give least priority to all British products for government contracts/tenders).

Our late premier, Tun Abdul Razak wasn't around then; he passed away some years before that. So Najib gave a distorted view on this matter. A liar's view.
