In desperation and panic - struck with fear of losing the Ijok by-election, Barisan Nasional has gone seriously overboard to thwart a PKR victory by abusing the government power which it holds. Despite using all type of sweet goodies and sweet lies, BN's inherent weakness has visibly surfaced.

Unable to compete with PKR's campaign strategy, even with its 'Goliath' tactics, it has publicly displayed its ugly reliance on the police force to thwart PKR's victory. By abusing its executive power, BN has shamelessly forced the police force to help them to arrest the rising support of the people for PKR.

BN's slogan of 'Cemerlang, Terbilang dan Gemilang', seemingly to create an excellent international image, has now become a shameless mockery. Such a slogan has become a hypocritical drama in view of the electoral atrocities that BN has committed in Ijok.

How on earth can a ruling coalition claim itself to be 'Cemerlang, Terbilang dan Gemilang' when the police force has been subjugated for its election campaign? What a shame! BN seems to be 90 percent dependent on the government with only 10 percent genuine political party strength.

I am ashamed that BN does not seem to understand what is the nature of a free and fair democratic electoral process. It is a pity that BN has lost its sense of political responsibility and come to a point where it has dumped the values of people-centred democratic system.

The political 'con-man-ship' of BN is now brought to light through the 'karma' of it subjugating the independence of the judiciary, the rule of law and the police force.

Its credibility as a genuine political party, its worthiness as a people-dedicated party, its sincerity and honesty has all become severely undermined because of its gross abuse of power as seen in the Ijok by-election campaign.
