I refer to the letter Apology demanded from racist minister .

The minister Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis' statement that dark-skinned Indians are of a 'lower class' than fair-skinned Indians was both senseless and in bad faith. To judge an individual's class or intellectual capacity based on the criteria of his or her skin colour is outrageous especially in the times that we are living in now.

In actual fact, almost two-thirds of the Indians who have migrated in the last 15 years or who are migrating to take up skilled jobs worldwide in various fields like IT, medicine, biotechnoloy and pharmaceutics are dark-skinned people from the south of India.

Even in India, all its robust development in the high-tech industries has been powered by the darker-skinned people from the south. So much for the minister's theory on skin colour and class.

I fail to understand why the minister with all the education that he has and all the travelling that he has done (having been to India and many parts of the world) has failed to see through this issue.

Is he a degree-holder with a intellectually bankrupt mind or is just being biased? I wonder.
