I refer to the article ' Blame it on Dr Mahathir ' where the writer has asked whether we should boycott all the GLCs which favour a bumiputera policy.

I stand up today and say "Yes, we should".

The BN government is able to bend the citizens backwards with discriminatory policies that favour one race and in most instances we are not able to do anything.

University student intake, scholarships, promotions in the government sector, housing loans, intake into the police force and army, special amanah saham bumiputra - the list goes on.

We are helpless in the face of such onslaught, but when it comes to where we should put our money and where we should buy our petrol, we can and should send a signal to the government that in this case you cannot force us to do anything against our wishes.

If there is something we can do to make right an injustice, then we have to do it. We cannot go on like this when such open, blatant discrimination is carried on.

Was it not Mahathir who championed anti-apartheid and hugged Nelson Mandela when South Africa got its freedom? That very man is responsible for what is happening to non-bumiputeras today.

The government talks of the 'feel good' feeling, but for whom?

My fellow brothers and sisters, remain silent no more. Let our voices be heard through the ballot box, our money and our petrol.
